ABOUT CLAYTON

Clayton Bourassa - Pianist local to Alexandria, VA.

Clayton began his study of piano at age 6 under his father. After a brief separation, he came back to the piano his first year in  high school in Tampa, Florida and restarted his lessons. Very shortly after regaining his lost skills, Clayton began performing for various crowds and venues, from school recitals (solo, choral, band & orchestra), to events and even public performances. After graduating high school, he moved to Missouri for a brief stint and studied at the University of Missouri then later under at Onondaga in Syracuse, New York. Clayton has always challenged himself by learning new pieces, styles, continuous education in music theory and application, and even composing his own pieces. After moving to the Virginia area 15 years ago, Clayton immediately revamped performance for others by hosting many of his own recitals at venues such as the Alexandria City Lyceum, Local Churches, Workhouse Arts Center, NIH, the White House, Leila Gordon Theatre, and many others. Clayton continues to perform in the DMV area showcasing a wide variety of music from early Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Jazz, and Modern.

During the day Clayton works as a Project Manager and Director for an Engineering firm focused on large construction for airports, hospitals and other facilities. He enjoys education, exercise, the outdoors, cocktails on the beach and most importantly spending time and having adventures with his wife, toddler son, infant daughter and his golden retriever.

Clayton continues to serve the DMV and surrounding areas by providing music and entertainment from concerts/recitals, to accompaniment, events and fundraisers.
