Riviera and Symphonicity

It was a double header weekend, with performances at The Riviera in Alexandria and with members of Symphonicity Orchestra in Virginia Beach.
First up, The Riviera. This was my second time playing at The Riviera, and for my Summer Concert program, I chose a mix of pieces by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Gershwin (you can see the complete program here). In addition to providing an introduction to each composer, I incorporated historical facts and stories about each piece and artists to bring some color to their stories. I greatly enjoyed my audience here, their questions, and the hospitality from The Riviera. I'm looking forward to returning next month!
On Sunday, I drove down to Virginia Beach to perform as part of Symphonicity's Summer Chamber Music Concert. Symphonicity is Virginia Beach's orchestra, and I greatly appreciated the opportunity to play in this concert. The orchestra's musicians are all very talented, and it was wonderful to meet these artists. You can check out the full concert program below, and hopefully there will be more collaborations with Symphonicity to come!
